Years ago, I made some changes to the school and during that time, to help make the change as smooth as possible, I spoke to a number of people about the process and potential pitfalls.  One of the people that I spoke with encouraged me to make the change and all the possibilities and opportunities that came with it.  It was a great motivator for me during a very stressful time.

In the martial arts, as instructors, one of our responsibilities is to provide direction to our students and provide them support in achieving their goals of Black Belt excellence and working towards a better self.  As leaders, as you go through the week and you work with those around you, provide them with hope and direction in attaining a higher level of themselves.
