How Tips Work – Moving Through the Ranks
A big part of Karate is setting and achieving goals. Tips are small goals and one of the ways that we help keep students motivated and working towards their goal of achieving their next rank.
Week 1 – New Curriculum and Receive Tips form Week 4
Week 2 – New Curriculum
Week 3- Review
Week 4- Tip Test
At the Ninja-Tot, Junior and Beginner Levels, each month, students will learn new lessons, review old ones and be Tip Tested on what they’ve worked on that month.
Each belt requires 3 Tips to graduate and takes about 3 months.

At the Beginner Level, moving to the Intermediate Level requires passing 3 belts.
Belt promotions take place in February, May, August and November.
