The Key to Success is Effort

Arrgh! Come on! I have just spent, I’m going to say the last maybe thirty minutes trying to make a video and it has not gone well. I have stumbled, mumbled, and butchered my way through my words and have still not done what I wanted. I’ll get it done, because I’m not going to quit. The key to success is effort. But, this all got me thinking about this week’s message of the week.

This week’s message of the week is…

Strength and growth come only through continuous effort and struggle.

I have struggled and I have stumbled over my words a million times. I’ve had technical glitches (dropped the camera!). I have had all sorts of issues (come on in UPS!) and I am still not done this video but here’s what I know. I know that as long as I keep working at it, I’ll eventually get it. That goes for all of us with anything that we’re working on.

We all have goals (and it takes courage to achieve your goals). We all have things that we are working towards and sometimes they go great. Sometimes we set out to achieve a goal and it goes great. Everything comes together just like we planned. Most times, it takes me no time to make a video. Then there’s today. Today it has taken me WAAAAY longer than usual to complete a video…but I will get it.

If you’re going through the week and you’re struggling. You’re struggling to accomplish what you want, do not worry about that. Try one more time. Try two more times. Get up a little earlier. Stay a little bit later. Ask for help. Whatever you’ve got to do not give up because you never know how close you are to accomplishing your goals. Your next try could be the one that you needed because the key to success is effort.

That’s it. I look forward to seeing you on the mats.

Take care,
